Remainder of 2009
I have been rather remiss at updating my blog over the second half of 2009 but here is a brief review of the flying I completed since May.
Towards the end of May I took Janet to Shobdon and Caernarfon in the Twinstar routing over the top of Mount Snowdon. We then went to Alderney in the Channel Islands in early July staying overnight in a nice guesthouse in St Anne, the main and only town on the island. We dropped into Guernsey on the way home for fuel but did not leave the airport.

The Twinstar then had further technical problems that grounded it for a considerable time and I took the opportunity to check out on the Cirrus SR20 G3 GTS, eventually logging 18 hours on the type. I also flew the Piper Arrow turbo version mark 4 which was very similar to our own Arrow but was quicker!

The Twinstar finally came back on line and I did a currency checkout going over to Hawarden for a few circuits before completing two trips up into Scotland, the last one overflying Campbeltown.

So a good year with over 50 hours logged.
